Cat vs. Cop
Now this is indeed one friendly cat!
Now this is indeed one friendly cat!
Now that is one big cat!
Tell you what, my cat Cougar would never do this. This person's kitty, though, seems to really like his water. Pretty amazing.
Oh yeah, in a shameless self-promotion, please consider buying your kitty something nice at www.kittycatonline.info
Well, maybe not "Bird Killer", but almost. Yesterday the weather wasn't too cold, so in the afternoon, I opened up the kitty house and Cougar went right in. I sat down to read a magazine, and not 10 minutes later, Cougar walked into the living room, holding a chickadee in his mouth! Deanna started freaking out, and I started laughing and doing the fist-pump "woo woo woo" "You da man!" dance. Cougar cat!
Deanna said the bird wasn't dead, but I was sure it was. It was stiff as a board, it's little bird beak open in that "I'm dead" look. Then, all of a sudden, the bird gets up and flies a lap around our living room, only to be caught again by Cougar. He's holding his prey and giving that "Grrrr" sound that says "Mine!". He runs behind the couch with his treasure. At Deanna's insistence, I decide to try to get the bird away from Cougar Cat. I get a large plastic colander and a lid. Deanna moved the couch back so I could get in there, and I get the bird in the colander.
Once outside the house, I remove the lid from the colander, and in a couple seconds, the bird gets a clue and flies off into the sky.
Well, with that over, back in the house, I spy Cougar going into the kitty house again, and I watch him. The kitty house, for those of you who don't know, is a small structure attached to our solarium, this structure being covered in chicken wire, so that the cats can get a taste of the outdoors without running around the neighborhood. Well, there is one hole in the chicken wire where there are tufts of bird feathers around it, and Cougar is sniffing the feathers. So, from what I'm seeing, there is a box with a cat in it, and the dumb bird decides it's going to land on the chicken wire and poke it's bird head inside. Bad move. Doubtless, Cougar plucked the foolish birdie right through the chicken wire and had himself a new playmate.
Today, our fine cat Cougar had his knee operated on. He had a floating kneecap, oh what was it the vet called it, a "luxating patella"? Something like that. Anyhow, he is not moving well, and is expected to be pretty out of it for a few days. Poor kitty!
