Collapse of Baghdad predicted in Book of Jeremiah?

While reading the Book of Jeremiah, I came across this:

Jer 51:31 One runner will run to meet another, And one messenger to meet another, To show the king of Babylon that his city is taken on [all] sides;

Jer 51:32 The passages are blocked, The reeds they have burned with fire, And the men of war are terrified.

I wonder if this was fulfilled with Operation Enduring Freedom? Saddam found himself surrounded, his soldiers scrambling for white surrender flags to wave, and in short order, his mighty kingdom crumbling around him. I wonder...
