Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to run as VP with John McCain
Today, all of Alaska got the shocker of the century, our governor Sarah Palin accepted the invite to run as Vice President with John McCain. Amazing. McCain could not have made a better pick. Palin is a straight-shooting conservative; she isn't really a part of the local GOP "old guard", and while she does have a bit of controversy following her at the moment, in Washington terms, it's nothing.
Ha, as I watch, Obama is retracting his own statement critizing her; where he initially said she was a mayor of a town of 9000. She's the governor of the State of Alaska, which has almost a million folks here, deals in mass billions in oil money, and is the military strategic key point to North America. Using Obama's own logic, I guess I'll say he's a Muslim student since he once did attend a Muslim school. So now Obama Bin Biden is backtracking on his own words by the end of the day, and probably wondering where he went wrong.
The big news today? McCain picks Sarah Palin. Any news about who-was-that-guy's Democratic party whatever in Denver? Nope. Didn't what's his head have a big speech last night? Not on the news. McCain totally popped Obama's party balloon.
Ah, but I digress. This isn't about Obama, it's about Sarah Palin. She is pro-life, pro 2nd Amendment, conservative, Christian, and basically a good honest person you'd trust your kids with. This is the happiest day in politics I can remember!
